National Science Day

National Science and Engineering Week refers to series of science-related events for the general public which are held in a specific countries during a designated week of the year. The aim of such science weeks is to engage and inspire people of all ages with science, engineering and technology.
In India, Science Week culminates in National Science Day, which takes place each year on 28 February to commemorate C. V. Raman's discovery of the Raman Effect.
College of Basic Sciences, takes a lead in the University Level National Science Day Celebrations.
In February 2009, Dr. Ram Lal coordinated the Science Day Activities of College.
